Welcome to Issue #5 of Shredder Bites, from Untha UK Your e-guide to shredders and waste management
…to our first quarterly newsletter of the year.
I’m quite excited to welcome you to the spring issue of Shredder Bites. We may only be less than three months into 2014, but already we have so much to tell you.
We kicked off the year with two senior promotions in our team. Neil Jefferies has taken on the role of UNTHA UK’s finance director, whilst Marcus Brew has stepped into the position of sales director. Elsewhere, in our after-sales department, experienced service and maintenance expert Ben Styles has been promoted to senior service engineer, allowing projects and services manager Paul Collins to concentrate on clients’ seamless transition between shredder procurement and the continued support phases.
UNTHA UK has grown by 500% since 2012, and we have our sights set on further expansion. This new organisational structure will ensure we work smarter and remain true to our company values, however complex the business becomes. The advantages of a more closely-knit team of course translate into customer benefits too. Read our full ‘senior promotions’ press release to find out more.
The exciting news doesn’t stop there. We have a new events calendar planned for 2014, and we will be letting you know where you can find us, throughout the UK, as the months unfold. We also have another exciting announcement to make in spring, so please keep an eye on our Twitter feed if you’d like to be the first to read our news.
With so much to look forward to, our next newsletter is sure to be as packed full of updates as this one!
We’re going to Sustainability Live – are you?
UNTHA UK is now a familiar face at Sustainability Live, but as the team plans for the 2014 event, this year looks set to be the best show yet.
Last month UNTHA UK was asked to tackle the subject of metal recycling, in an industry feature published by LAWR magazine. Having penned some thoughts for new editor Liz Gyekye, this resulted in almost two pages of editorial which dug deeper than the obvious commodity value of metals, and assessed where further value can be gleaned.
Already contributing a reported £5.6bn to the economy, metal recycling has been hailed by many as a British success story. But there is perhaps further potential to be realised. To find out if you could improve the efficiency and profitability of your approach to metal recycling, read our full article for free online.
Heavy duty four shaft shredder now in stock
We are proud of our reputation as the UK’s leading provider of shredding technology. So, from the machinery we design, through to the after sales support we provide, we are determined to deliver complete satisfaction.
We therefore have a range of brand new shredders in stock at our North Yorkshire headquarters, and available for immediate delivery. This minimises the lead time between you identifying your shredding needs, selecting the best-fit technology for your requirements, and commissioning your new plant.
The latest shredder to be added to our fleet of brand new stock machines, is a four shaft RS100. This can be configured to suit most heavy duty applications, including confidential waste, WEEE, metals, used beverage cans (UBCs), mattresses, automotive shredder residue (ASR), medical and hazardous waste shredding, to name just a few.
