Support Sarah’s charity skydive!

Sarah Murray

Our team is made up of extraordinary people who do extraordinary things, so we weren’t surprised when our sales coordinator, Sarah Murray, announced that she was planning to jump 15,000 ft from an aeroplane to raise money for Marie Curie.

Relishing the opportunity to push herself mentally and physically, Sarah is no stranger to tackling heart-thumping and adrenaline-pumping challenges. Following the news that we had chosen Marie Curie to be our charity of the year, she knew she wanted to do something extra special to raise much-needed funds — and a skydive was the obvious choice.

So, on Saturday 2nd September, Sarah will be flying high up into the sky, where she will then leap from an aeroplane door — harnessed to the front of a fully qualified parachuting instructor — at 15,000 ft to show her support for all the amazing work that Marie Curie does.

Despite being a self-confessed adrenaline junkie, the decision to do this was fuelled by Sarah’s firsthand experience of the charity, which provided around-the-clock palliative care to her late father. Sarah was blown away by the compassion, care and dedication each team member puts into the role as they support families through difficult times, so this charity is one that is very much close to her heart.

This skydiving adventure is just one of a series of fundraising initiatives being taken on by our wider team. From a sponsored walk and charity bake sale, to a swearpot, hot coal challenge and even a limited edition shredder custom-sprayed in Marie Curie’s colours — the UNTHA UK team is getting involved in a plethora of fundraising activities to raise money for this incredible cause.
