Sarah Murray shows us her mettle…

Sarah Murray - UNTHA UK

Our people are important to us at UNTHA UK. After all, without their knowledge and expertise we would be unable to deliver the five-star customer service that we pride ourselves on. So, each month we quiz a different colleague on 10 quickfire questions that offer a little more insight into why they play such an important and valued part of our growing team.

Next up, it’s our resident adrenaline junkie, Sarah Murray…

How did you first get into the world of shredding?

For me, it was the machines that lured me in. When I was researching the company prior to my interview, I was absolutely in awe of the size and power of UNTHA’s shredder range. I couldn’t wait to get started, and I haven’t looked back since.

What’s the one skill or quality that helps you succeed in the UNTHA environment?

I’d have to say the determination to succeed.

Name one highlight from your UNTHA tenure so far.

I’ve got plenty of fantastic memories, but the four-day shredder showcase we held in October 2021 was absolutely amazing. It was the first time I had a chance to see all of the machines in action and meet so many of our customers, all in one place.

How do you unwind at the end of a busy day at work?

I love being outdoors with my beloved pooch, Blu. Aside from that, you could also find me on my latest adrenaline-pumping mission. In less than a month, I’ll be throwing myself out of an aeroplane door for the second time — raising money for Marie Curie. If you’re feeling generous, you can donate to the cause, here

What’s the best piece of work-related advice you’ve ever received?

Pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work.

Which machine is your favourite from the UNTHA shredder range, and why?

The RS40 — compact, yet powerful.

UNTHA has a number of divisions scattered all over the globe — Austria, Poland, Iberica, and Türkiye, to name a few. If you weren’t a trusty fixture at the UK branch, which business would be next on your work hit list?

I would really love to visit Austria where it all began. Maybe I’d throw in a little skiing or snowboarding while I was there!

What do you think makes UNTHA’s service such a hit with our customers?

The team. Everybody works so hard to make UNTHA what it is.

What’s your main hope for UNTHA UK over the next year or so?

To continue to grow and thrive.

And finally, what’s your main environmental hope for the UK as a whole?

To stop raw sewage being pumped into our oceans.
