Promotion for popular service engineer

Darren McDonnell

Well-known service engineer Darren McDonnell has been rewarded for his commitment to customer excellence, with a promotion to installation supervisor.

Having shown an outstanding level of attention to detail when commissioning UNTHA’s industrial shredders and ancillary equipment — on sites large and small, throughout the UK – he has proven a crucial piece in the jigsaw when it comes to project success.

With a wealth of technical experience – gathered from various engineering roles throughout his career – he is a seasoned waste and recycling machinery specialist. He has an outstanding track record in machinery servicing, operational diagnostics and problem solving, yet speaks to the customer in straight-talking, respectful language, which adds value to the relationship from the off.

This all combines to make him the ideal candidate for the new installation supervisor role. Now he will work closely with colleagues throughout wider UNTHA UK departments – particularly the management team, as well as our Austrian HQ – to ensure shredders are commissioned on time, to budget, and with maximum levels of communication, safety, and efficiency.

Speaking about the promotion, UNTHA UK’s managing director Marcus Brew said: “What many people take for granted in a role like this, is the importance of strong communication skills. Since first joining UNTHA, Darren has behaved like a long-standing member of the team, demonstrating a real passion for customer service and a proactive, informative and transparent approach to communications. This – combined with his technical skill-set, means he will really bolster our project delivery. We wish him every success.”
