Julie Cassidy – a well-known face in UNTHA UK’s aftersales team – has been awarded a highly deserved promotion in recognition of her contribution to that department.

One of the busiest areas of the company – especially as the business has grown – the aftersales division supports customers with everything they need to optimise their shredders’ performance, long after the sale.

With a largely office-based role to date, she has been a ‘go to’ contact at the end of the phone or email, when customers have had parts or maintenance queries large or small. But as her knowledge of UNTHA’s shredders has grown, so too has her ability to proactively influence the ongoing success of customer operations.

The promotion therefore sees her move into the position of parts and maintenance sales executive. While she will still be available to respond to incoming questions and requests for support, she will undertake a growing number of site visits to help customers develop cutter refurbishment programmes, preventative maintenance packages, parts audits, operator training reviews and more.

Commenting on the promotion, UNTHA UK’s aftersales manager Andy Nadin said: “Julie has a wealth of waste and recycling industry experience, and since she joined us in 2019, she’s proven just how much value she can add to customer projects, even years after our shredders have first been commissioned.

“It therefore makes perfect sense to empower her with more responsibility as we grow – and as customers lean on her for her advice – plus it cements her career progression here too.”

Julie added: “I’m looking forward to working more closely with customers, than ever before. Cutter finance options and varied training packages are just a couple of the things I’m currently working on as we prepare to head into 2023. So, watch this space…”
