Visit our North Yorkshire HQ to hear and see our shredders in action, discover how easy the equipment is to operate and assess output quality for yourself!
NEW: We’ve introduced our new remote trial facility. Send a sample of your materials to our test centre and we’ll film the process in action. We’ll then send you the video before arranging a follow-up consultation over the phone, or online.
We’ve invested in state-of-the-art video technology throughout our test centre, meaning you can watch trials safely from the comfort of our elevated viewing suite, and see everything that’s going on within the shredders themselves.
If you’re making the trip to visit us, we’re conveniently located just minutes from the A1(M) motorway network, with on-site parking and plenty of accommodation nearby if you’re travelling from afar.
With reference sites throughout the UK and overseas, we can also arrange for you to see an UNTHA shredder in action at a client’s facility. Talk to our customers, learn from their experiences and pick up hints and tips while seeing the machinery in operation.
Talk to us about our XR mobil-e roadshows. Our globally-renowned waste shredder – suitable for Waste to Energy production, metal separation, bulky waste shredding, biomass production and more – is available to trial on your own site!

"Municipal waste shredding trials first led Advetec to invest in two UNTHA RS30s, which were shipped to the Caribbean and USA to process materials down to a defined <50mm specification."
Richard Goff – chief operating officer
"In 2019, we wanted to further strengthen our alternative fuel production capabilities. Advanced trials with UNTHA ensued and it became clear that the all-new UNTHA XR3000XC could achieve an on-specification 30mm particle with slightly more throughput than two other shredders combined."
Jim Entwistle – founder
"With a proven track record of boosting clients’ yield – as well as their recyclate quality – UNTHA led M&M through a number of shredder trials. It became clear that a four shaft RS100 shredder could comprehensively tackle the variety of materials generated at M&M’s plant.
Following a commissioning exercise that took only 6 weeks, the technology soon became an integral part of the firm’s facility."
Rob Fluckiger – managing director
"LKM travelled to UNTHA’s Austrian headquarters to see the RS shredders in production and to trial the machine using an array of materials.
We were really impressed with the UNTHA set up. Of course, the shredding technology is renowned, but there’s a real focus on the development of relationships too. I suppose that’s how they ensure clients get the greatest return from their assets long into the future.”
Tony Hughes – former managing director
"Pre-procurement trials proved the shredders capabilities, with the machine handling up to a pallet of retail packed surplus food per minute, with ease. This – coupled with the technology’s uptime statistics and after sales support – is particularly important for a fast-paced business like ours."
Graeme Cook – operations manager
"The installation of the four shaft RS40 shredder follows a research process which began online. The deciding factor in opting for this machine was a successful trial using Sanoh’s own material, at UNTHA UK’s North Yorkshire shredder test centre last year."
The business case for reducing the volume of waste is strong. I’m glad we now have this highly configurable machinery in place.
