UNTHA to deliver RDF seminar at waste expo in Australia

UNTHA will be flying to the other side of the world in October for the annual Australasian Waste and Recycling Expo (AWRE) in Sydney. But why?

Our director of global business development, Gary Moore, is delivering a seminar to delegates about Refuse Derived Fuels and Process Engineered Fuels, and the role they could play in Australia’s future resource strategy.

He is attending the event with our Australia-exclusive distribution partner, FOCUS enviro, who’ll also be at the two-day expo chatting to attendees about cutting-edge developments in the waste and organic equipment sector.

Gary’s seminar follows announcements from the Australian government that the country is clamping down on the way it approaches waste management – especially export – and will therefore explore what lies on the horizon for Australia’s environmental agenda.

With almost 30 years’ experience within the waste and recycling sector, Gary will inform delegates how similar challenges have been successfully overcome in other parts of the world, such as Europe and the USA. He’ll look at how innovation in the industry has enabled other nations to achieve a higher level of environmental compliance and above all, harness the resource potential and wealth from residual waste.

Attendees of the RDF and PEF – Australia’s future resources? taking place on Wednesday 30th between 15:15-16:00, will also hear about the Waste Hierarchy model, the rise of alternative fuels and what actions have been taken to ensure ‘buy in’ from the public.

Gary will also be on FOCUS enviro’s stand – A40 – to talk to delegates about the arrival of the UNTHA XR in Australia, and how companies can trial the machine using their own materials.
