My role means I have the opportunity to showcase UNTHA’s range of industry-leading machines to clients in a broad range of sectors — offering advice that will help them achieve the greatest return on investment from their waste shredders.

Which sector do you think could achieve significant environmental progress this year?
The food service industry seems to be making considerable progress this year, with supermarkets upping their game in the packaging and processing of their product ranges. I’m looking forward to seeing how this unfolds over the next few years.

What do you wish you’d known about the environment, as a child?
The small changes that each person can make to contribute to a better, more environmentally friendly future.

What’s the single biggest threat to the environment, in your opinion?
People who don’t recycle or take the climate crisis seriously.

Share one tip to help people be ‘greener’, at work or at home:
A short time spent separating your household waste goes a long way!

Tell us an environmental statistic that you think people need to know:
It’s been estimated that, if we continue at current rates, global warming will be irreversible within as little as 12 years.

What’s the best thing you’ve ever reused/upcycled?
Aside from our cat upcycling every available cardboard box into a new sitting place, I’m planning to build an integrated desk using timber off-cuts.

If you were prime minister for the day, what’s the one thing you’d do to improve the UK’s sustainability agenda?
Highlight all initiatives available to businesses which aide a greener future.
