Over the last two weeks our team has been stationed in Lancashire, as we hosted UNTHA UK’s biggest shredder showcase yet! Across the four days, we gave the country’s most pioneering waste and recycling professionals an insight into what our machines can really do, when tackling a range of input materials and output specifications.

Not only did customers get to see the new high-performance UNTHA ZR2400, XR3000RC and XR3000C machines live in action – with demonstrations tackling a range of ‘tricky’ and bulky waste streams – visitors were also able to get up-close and personal to the shredders, cutting blades and output materials, for even more insight into what our technology is capable of.

Across the four days, we welcomed colleagues from UNTHA’s HQ in Austria too, which gave our visitors the opportunity to benefit from global industry insight and expertise, alongside connecting with our UK service engineers.

The shredder showcase event was the first opportunity for many to see the new UNTHA ZR2400 in person since its launch in September, and it certainly did not disappoint. This two-shaft pre-shredder promises the lowest lifecycle costing (LCC) for waste, wood and metal shredding in its class, and has been designed to tackle severe duty applications with ease. We put it to the test, shredding tyres, bales, mattresses, washing machines, metal scrap and more – in front of a live audience – thanks to our intuitive UNTHA GENIUS, while providing performance data in real time!
