UNTHA UK renews CIWM membership

We’re delighted to announce that UNTHA UK has renewed its corporate membership with the Chartered Institute of Wastes Management (CIWM), in what we believe could be the most exciting year for the industry, to date.

As long-standing ‘friends’ of CIWM, we’ve been active participants in the Institute’s events, debates and news forums for over two decades – not least because its mission ‘To influence, inform and inspire the sustainable management of resources and waste’, aligns with our own. In fact, our sales director Gary Moore is a regular contributor to CIWM Connect – a private community where industry professionals come together to share insight, ideas and opinion.

With over 5,000 members, the CIWM acknowledges that ours is a diverse world, but the events of 2020 particularly reminded us just how crucial our work is to the UK economy. And as the membership page boldly – and quite rightly – states: “We’re stronger together – if this year has taught us anything, it’s the power of our community.”

So, we look forward to once again talking to, networking and sharing knowledge with our peers – in whatever way we can – and hope that we will soon be able to meet safely, in person.

But that doesn’t mean innovation will stop until then.

“As a team, we’re extremely excited about what lies ahead,” said UNTHA UK’s managing director Marcus Brew. “2021, for us, will be about staying true to what we’ve always done – being a value-adding partner to our customers, driving forward what’s possible with machinery innovation, and maximising the environmental and financial robustness of our clients’ businesses. With perhaps a few surprises up our sleeves too!

“The CIWM membership will prove a fantastic way for us to keep our knowledge sharp, our minds open and our relationships nurtured.”
