Hot on the heels of news that UNTHA UK has joined the Wood Recyclers’ Association, the team has also announced its enrolment with the Chamber of Commerce.
As a newly-revealed member of the York & North Yorkshire network, UNTHA decided to get on board having heard a number of positive comments about the organisation’s work.
Passionate about championing, connecting, supporting and representing businesses from throughout the region, the Chamber – part of the West & North Yorkshire group – is renowned for the help it provides.
It is committed to fostering partnerships that improve business performance, facilitating inclusive networks, sharing intelligence that drive efficiencies, providing a voice for local firms on a national level, and creating a sustainable environment designed to make life a little easier for organisations of all shapes and sizes.
Commenting on the reason for joining, UNTHA UK’s managing director Marcus Brew said: “I have attended various events, conferences and roundtables over the past 12 months, relevant to both our niche world of waste and recycling, and the wider business environment on the whole.
“I have talked to leaders from all walks of life, and while everyone has naturally been very different, I’ve come across a lot of common ground too. I’ve increasingly found that many of the challenges, opportunities and learnings being debated, are shared from one company to the next.
“So, as we prepare for our biggest year in business yet – a year that promises further growth, research, innovation, recruitment and no doubt some scenarios that we haven’t yet planned for – it felt like the perfect time to join this well-established network. From expanding our network to discovering more about the support available for ambitious organisations like ours, I’m excited to see what the membership brings.”
