National Recycling Awards success for UNTHA
It has been strictly under wraps for the last two weeks but we now have great pleasure in announcing that UNTHA UK has been shortlisted in the National Recycling Awards 2015.
Months of behind-the-scenes effort went in to preparing our entry for the Innovation of the Year – Equipment category. We collated graphs, statistics, trial findings, testimonials, particle sizes, efficiency readings and more, for our submission on the groundbreaking XR waste shredder. And we waited with baited breath to learn our fate.
However, news officially revealed by the awards team today, confirms we have ‘reached the finals’. We won’t learn if we’ve been crowned as award winners until the ceremony at London Hilton, Park Lane, on 1 July. But there’s more work to do before then. Sales director Marcus Brew and managing director Chris Oldfield have another trip to London ahead of them on 10 April, when they must present the award entry in more detail, to a panel of judges. Only then will the NRA team have the information they need to make their decision.
Commenting on today’s announcement, Chris Oldfield said: “We are told that the awards received an even greater number of entries this year, so to have been shortlisted is already a significant achievement for our team.
“After four years of pioneering R&D, design, engineering and testing, we have created a robust machine that we are incredibly proud of. And already it is reaping some fantastic results for clients, which is what we set out to achieve. Award recognition such as this, however, would be the icing on the cake.”
A 10-strong UNTHA team will make the July trip to the capital for a celebratory evening with some of the UK’s most esteemed waste and recycling experts, forward-thinking local authorities, resource efficiency champions and some of the most respected journalists in the field. Details of the results, as they’re announced on the night, will be published on our Twitter account.
