What was your first job?
Working on the farm – that’s been a huge part of my life growing up.
What are the best and worst moments of your career so far?
Discharging the first vessel of RCF into the UK. Working on a three-year project to achieve end of life status, and not getting it over the line.
What one thing would you change about the waste/recycling industry?
More openness and transparency.
If you weren’t in waste, what would you want to be?
A gamekeeper.
Book or e-reader, and what are you reading now?
Paper book, definitely. Currently reading Tom Kerridge’s Lose Weight for Good.
Where would you like to time travel to?
The Victorian era – I like steam engines!
What song means the most to you?
Right Said Fred – I’m too sexy.
What can’t you live without?
The outdoors.
What would you do as prime minister for a day?
Fire a few members of Parliament
Which building would you like to be locked in overnight?
The Ashmolean museum in Oxford
What is the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
Keep on smiling.
