How does this mobile shredder work?
The new XR mobil-e is an electronically-driven mobile machine, complete with exit conveyor and ferrous magnet. Supplied with tracks and an on-board auxiliary power pack, this waste shredder can quickly and easily be moved to different indoor and outdoor locations around a site and plugged back in. It couldn’t be simpler!

- Machine flexibility
With a range of cutter and screen configurations, the XR mobil-e (like the static XR) can handle a range of input materials to produce high quality homogenous alternative fuels. A consistent particle size of 30mm up to 400mm is achievable, as is anything in between. That means only one investment, in a single, moveable capital asset, to handle all your waste shredding needs.
- Low noise
Operating as quietly as <80dB(A) this shredder will overcome environmental/planning concerns, and better protect the health and safety of operatives. Extended operating hours are also achievable as it will not cause disruption to neighbouring communities.
- Low fines
With a slow speed electro-mechanical drive, this XR creates low levels of dust and other combustible materials which minimises the risk of fire. Low fines also enable biomass specifications to be met whilst reducing residual material disposal costs.
- Foreign object protection
If an unshreddable item enters the shredder, the cutters and critical component parts are protected from damage. The foreign object can be quickly and safely removed in minutes, to ensure minimal disruption to machine performance.
