UNTHA UK resource centre launch – we have lift off!
Passionate about educating organisations throughout the waste and recycling industry, and promoting knowledge sharing at every possible opportunity, UNTHA UK has launched an electronic resource centre.
Available to new and existing customers, trade institutions, the media, peers and other organisations within the waste and recycling supply chain, the resource centre is designed to encourage the communication of advice, best practice and thought provoking commentary. Encompassing technology videos, hints and tips, reviews of industry issues and product brochures, all resources are available for free download and with no obligation.
The newest addition to the resource centre is a white paper written by UNTHA UK’s alternative fuel production expert Marcus Brew, entitled Five Steps to Running a Successful SRF Plant. Produced to complement the highly acclaimed presentation which Marcus delivered at RWM on the same topic, this in-depth publication offers specialist insight and much-needed guidance as to the best value design and ongoing management of an efficient SRF plant.
Drawing upon the principles of lean manufacturing the paper examines the ways to structure the SRF production system before considering the importance of input material, equipment and operators when creating a high quality fuel for the end user.
Marcus Brew confirms: “Challenges do of course face SRF manufacturers but this advice-led resource explains that, when looking at the plant as a production system not just a recycling process, benefits such as maximum availability, uptime, throughput and return on investment can be achieved.”
