UNTHA staff spotlight – Sharon Annat
How Sharon finds the energy for cycling in the hills on a weekend is beyond belief! Learn more about her new fast paced role with the shredding specialists, UNTHA UK.
Name: Sharon Annat
Job title: Sales Process Manager
1. What does your role entail?
I am the link between UNTHA UK’s business development team and our after sales function, with the prime responsibility of ensuring the smooth transition of every new project. This involves collating all relevant information during the sales process, from the point of initial enquiry, throughout the development of a solution, right up to an order being secured. Keeping a watchful ‘quality control’ eye on project data, from start to finish, streamlines our internal efficiencies and facilitates a hassle free handover when it’s time for our engineers to install the chosen machine
2. How long have you been with the company?
Two years this month!
3. What’s the best thing about your job?
I love so much about my job, particularly this new role. I thrive in a busy environment, especially one that presents new challenges every day, and I love how customer-focused my operational responsibilities are. In a business like UNTHA, where the client lies at the heart of everything, it’s great to be a key piece of the jigsaw.
4. For you, which is UNTHA’s stand-out shredder?
Aesthetically, I love the fresh, dynamic design of our SRF shredder, the XR. I think the appearance of this machine is indicative of the forward-thinking technology that sits inside it.
However, the flexibility of the RS40 – a fairly compact yet incredibly robust four shaft shredder – is very impressive. It is integral to so many varied recycling operations, not just within the UK, but worldwide.
5. Which is your favourite UNTHA project?
I’ve only just adopted a hands on role in the projects we deliver so I’d actually like to answer that question in six months’ time!
6. What’s been your biggest work achievement, since joining UNTHA?
I’d say, overall, it is the proactive identification and implementation of systems that either improve efficiencies, heighten our service to customers, or highlight potential problems before we’d otherwise have realised they were there. I think this part of my role will only grow, especially as we’re a continually expanding company, committed to continuous improvement, with some very exciting projects in the pipeline.
I also took the lead in co-ordinating our presence at RWM 2015, so it was incredibly gratifying to see such a busy and vibrant stand when it came to the event itself.
7. Describe UNTHA in three words:
Innovative, Dynamic, Progressive
And finally some more light-hearted questions:
8. What’s your favourite food?
I love scallops with gruyere cheese, but I don’t have the opportunity to enjoy those very often! So I’d also say a good grilled, well-seasoned ribeye steak with a simple salad dressed with lemon juice and salt.
9. How do you relax on a weekend?
To be honest I don’t really like relaxing! You’ll usually find me out in the hills, on my bike or camping somewhere remote with my other half. I also love spending quality time with my daughter, creating great memories.
10. If you were stranded on a desert island, what is the one thing you couldn’t live without?
Family aside, it has to be food, a good whisky and my bike. That’s three things, not one, and not necessarily in that order!
