Sustainability Live selects UNTHA UK as Energy from Waste expert
UNTHA UK is to have a special presence at Sustainability Live 2013 at NEC Birmingham, thanks to the level of industry-leading expertise within the team.
With over 20 years’ experience working on high-specification engineering projects, UNTHA UK’s Marcus Brew has an unparalleled knowledge of the production environment, spanning everything from waste management to the fascinating world of aerospace.
Now a recognised expert in shredding technologies for the Waste to Energy industry, Marcus works with some of the country’s leading Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF), Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) and Anaerobic Digestion (AD) operators, on a weekly basis. He was therefore an obvious choice when it came to taking to the stage at the UK’s first Energy from Waste Expo, in association with Sustainability Live.
He will share his advice and guidance with delegates in the EfW Theatre at 12:15 on 18 April 2013, when he presents ‘Five steps to running a successful SRF plant’. This 15 minute seminar will provide a behind-the-scenes insight into the best-practice design and ongoing operation of a successful SRF system. Drawing upon the principles of lean manufacturing and illustrating the experiences of high profile companies SUTCO and Sita UK, this session will examine:
- Why it is important to look at the plant as a production system, not just a recycling process
- How to structure the production system itself
- The importance of input material, equipment and operators when creating a high quality product
- How to achieve benefits such as maximum availability, uptime, throughput and return on investment.
Speaking about this prestigious opportunity Marcus commented: “I am incredibly passionate about this exciting industry and think knowledge transfer plays a key role in helping the Energy from Waste sector further develop. It is an honour to have been chosen to present at this renowned event, and I hope people will make the most of the chance to learn, ask questions and improve their alternative fuel production techniques.”
Marcus and his colleagues at UNTHA UK will be on site for the duration of the 16-18 April 2013 event. The team of waste shredding experts – also renowned in the fields of paper, plastic, metal and confidential waste shredding – will be located on stand S18.
Not familiar with Sustainability Live? It is widely regarded as the UK’s ultimate event for the energy, water and energy from waste industries. Visitors to Sustainability Live will find three shows under one roof – NEMEX Energy Live, IWEX Water Live and the new EfW Expo also known as energy from waste live.
