Senior promotion for two popular UNTHA UK faces
Continued growth at one of the UK’s leading providers of shredding technology, has paved the way for two senior promotions within the team.
Neil Jefferies has taken on the role of UNTHA UK’s finance director, whilst Marcus Brew has stepped into the position of sales director. These two newly created posts highlight the ongoing structure that is being added to this entrepreneurial business, as its customer base continues to expand.
UNTHA UK’s managing director Chris Oldfield explains: “When we became UNTHA UK in 2011, our business entered a new phase of development. Despite a challenging economic climate we continued to innovate and in the last two years, UNTHA UK has grown by 500% as a result.
“We have also set our sights on further growth over the next three years, so this new organisational structure has been implemented to ensure we remain true to our company values. We have brought added clarity to each of our job roles, objectives and corporate vision, which we hope will lead to more organised and motivated departments. The advantages of a more closely-knit team of course translate into customer benefits too.”
Neil’s core responsibilities include the strategic development of UNTHA UK’s financial resources, plus the management of day-to-day operations in the North Yorkshire office. His focus will be to uphold the highest quality standards throughout every aspect of this leading waste shredding organisation.
Meanwhile Marcus – whilst maintaining his level of specialism in the Waste to Energy arena – will head up the entire sales function, sourcing and developing key target markets to support UNTHA UK’s continued growth.
Elsewhere, in UNTHA UK’s after-sales department, experienced service and maintenance expert Ben Styles has been promoted to senior service engineer. Now the prime point of contact for all mechanical and electrical engineering enquiries, Ben’s new role will see him co-ordinating the ongoing servicing, maintenance and optimisation of clients’ shredders. This will allow projects and services manager Paul Collins to concentrate on clients’ seamless transition between shredder procurement and the subsequent commissioning and continued support phases.
Chris Oldfield concludes: “We are renowned for helping our customers increase their efficiencies, so it’s time we started working smarter too, especially as our business becomes more complex. I have always been proud to be managing director of UNTHA UK, but I feel especially excited about this new phase of our development. The team is the strongest and most energised it has ever been.”
The recent changes at UNTHA UK will see Chris focus on devising and implementing programmes of strategic continuous improvement, to meet the ever-changing needs of the waste and recycling environment and stay one step ahead of competitors. He will also maintain his ambassadorial involvement with industry events and conferences, to support wider industry change.
