Chris Oldfield to join expert panel at 2014 EfW conference
UNTHA UK’s managing director Chris Oldfield has been invited to join an expert programme of speakers at the Energy from Waste conference in February.
A recognised waste to energy specialist, Chris will participate in the Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) and Secondary Recovered Fuel (SRF) market development session on day one of the event.
Ian Crummack, managing director of Cobalt Energy, will chair the afternoon assembly. Chris Jonas, Viridor’s head of strategic development, will then consider the importance of fuel quality, standards and security, before Paul de Jong, CEO of Twence Holding B.V. offers an international market development perspective.
Chris Oldfield and SITA UK’s technical development director Stuart Hayward-Higham will then answer questions from the floor in what is sure to be a stimulating panel debate.
Providing a little teaser as to what attendees can expect, Chris hints: “I am particularly excited to share my thoughts about the importance of quality standards and regulation in the EfW market, and the extent to which these could aid long-term market development.”
2014 marks the 10th anniversary of this industry-leading conference. Delegates from around the world will gather at The Royal College of Surgeons in London in an attempt to progress the EU’s ever-more complex waste to energy agenda.
Industry professionals can register their interest in attending, on the EfW Conference website. Organised in association with Recycling & Waste World, the event will take place on 26-27 February 2014. The RDF and SRF market development session begins on 26th February at 14:00.
